Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force AFCAT 1 Vacancies 2023:
- Only individuals who took their 12th-grade exams using the 10+2 format are eligible to apply for these courses. In Ground Duty (Non-Tech) branches, one slot is designated for individuals who have a law degree; these candidates may be hired to perform legal tasks for the IAF (after commissioning).
Educational Qualifications
Flying:- A graduate candidate who received at least 60% on their degree and who received at least 50% on their maths and physics exams in their 12th-grade year. Candidates for the B.Tech or B.E. degree who received at least 60% overall and 60% in maths and physics in the 10+2 in the 12th grade are also qualified.
Ground Duty Technical:- Candidates for technical entrance must hold a B.Tech. or B.E. degree in one of the approved streams, as specified in the IAF’s official announcement, with a minimum of 60% overall and minimum 50% in Physics and Mathematics in the 10+2 grade.
Ground Duty Non-Technical:- Weapon Systems (WS): Graduation with a minimum grade point average of 60% or an equivalent.
- Administration and logistics: Graduation with a minimum grade point average of 60% or an equal.
- Accounts – B.Com. with at least 60% overall or an equivalent degree.
- Education – A postgraduate degree (MBA, MCA, MA, or M Sc degree in English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics, International Relations, International Studies, Defense Studies, Psychology, Computer Science, IT, Management, Mass Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations) with at least 50% of the marks, as well as a graduation grade point average of at least 60%.
- Meteorology – B Sc with Physics and Mathematics and at least 60% overall, or four years of equivalent engineering or technology-related degree

Training Sessions
At Air Force Academy Dundigal, instruction will start for all courses the first week of January 2024. (Hyderabad).Air Force training The duration of training establishments is 74 weeks for the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches and 52 weeks for the Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches. When applying to the Air Force Academy, a PAN Card and a bank account with SBI or a nationalized bank are requirements. The Aadhaar Card is required to register.
Application Fee
Candidates registering for AFCAT entrance must pay an examination fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable). Candidates registering for NCC Special entrance, on the other hand, are not needed to pay.
